Lee Hyun-seo, known professionally as Leeseo, the youngest member of global K-pop sensation IVE, marked a major milestone in her life as she graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School during the institution’s 15th annual commencement ceremony. Held in Seoul’s Songpa-gu district, the event brought together students, faculty, and notable attendees from the entertainment industry, including fellow rising idol Ryu Sarang of girl group izna.

Born February 21, 2007, Leeseo was 14 years old when she debuted with IVE in December 2021, instantly capturing global attention with the group’s chart-topping single Eleven. Acceptance into Hanlim Multi Art School’s broadcasting and entertainment department followed in November 2022, launching a period of intense balancing between her obligations as a K-pop star and her studies. Over the years, she has juggled world tours, music releases, and high-profile roles including regular MC duties for SBS Inkigayo all while keeping up with late-night study sessions to complete her high school education.

Her efforts were recognized at the ceremony, where she was awarded an arts distinction for her achievements both academically and professionally. Photos shared by fans and media showed the 18-year-old posing for reporters on the school’s campus, holding her signature blue-bound diploma with a bright smile.
Hanlim Multi Art School is one of South Korea’s most renowned arts institutions, counting some of K-pop’s biggest stars among its alumni, including Cha Eun-woo, Tzuyu of TWICE, and Kim Chae-won of LE SSERAFIM. Its graduation ceremonies regularly draw media attention as they celebrate the next generation of entertainment talent.
For Leeseo’s global fanbase, known as DIVEs, the occasion sparked an outpouring of nostalgia and pride across social media. Many shared edits tracing her journey from her debut as IVE’s maknae (youngest member) to her graduation, highlighting her growth as both an artist and a young adult.
In statements shared through her agency Starship Entertainment, Leeseo expressed gratitude to her family, school faculty, group members, and fans for their support throughout her studies. “This chapter taught me the importance of perseverance,” she said. “I will carry the lessons I learned here as I continue to grow as an artist and a person.”
As she closes this chapter of her life, Leeseo continues to thrive as part of IVE, which remains one of the top-selling and most awarded girl groups in the global K-pop industry today.
