Filipino Idol JL Thanks Fans Following AHOF’s Landmark Homecoming Shows

The Filipino Kpop idol JL shared his deep gratitude to the fans in the Philippines after his group AHOF went through a series of high, energy homecoming shows, a milestone marking a fast, rising international career of the young artist.

Gaspar, a native of Muntinlupa, released his first album in July 2025 after he was a contestant on the South Korean survival program Universe League. He rapidly set a record as the first fully Filipino male idol to top a South Korean music program, a monumental achievement that the local fans widely celebrated.

The band landed in the Philippines a few days after a triumphant night at the 2026 D Awards in Seoul where AHOF collected four trophies including their first Bonsang. They kept the crowd’s spirits high as the 9, member group hit the stage at RMusic Fest at Robinsons Galleria South, attracting an even more excited audience. The shows at Robinsons Galleria Ortigas and Cebu that were also part of the scheduled concerts thus spreading the happy vibe all over the country.

Social media was swamped with heartfelt messages and gestures from fans. The fans lovingly named Gaspar the “Pride of One” and “Pambansang OFW, ” posting images of waving lightsticks and close fansign moments that reflect his strong bond with his Filipino roots.

Gaspar briefly expressed his gratitude to the fans for their continuous support, saying the concerts at home had a very special meaning for him as a Filipino artist who represents his country on the world stage. Industry observers point out that AHOFs triumphant Manila concerts reflect the increasing sway of Filipino talent in the highly competitive K, pop scene, thereby opening up new avenues for cross, cultural interaction and global recognition.
