BEIJING – December 26, 2025 – Global K-pop icon Jisoo, of the record-breaking group BLACKPINK, has emerged as the leading nominee for the 2025 China Year End Awards, securing 13 distinctions across multiple categories based on digital sales and streaming performance on major platforms including QQ Music. The nominations span her solo debut album AMORTAGE and a high-profile collaboration with British-Pakistani artist Zayn Malik, underscoring the growing cross-cultural resonance of international music in China’s dynamic entertainment landscape.
Organized by China’s top digital music aggregators, the annual awards program quantifies success through verified data metrics including track downloads, streaming volumes, playlist inclusions, and user engagement across platforms such as QQ Music, KuGou, and Kuwo.
This year’s selection process evaluated performance from January 1 to November 30, 2025, with Jisoo’s 13 nominations distributed as seven from AMORTAGE and six from the collaborative single Eyes Closed with Malik.
AMORTAGE, released in March 2025, marked Jisoo’s first full-length solo project and quickly became a commercial powerhouse in China, topping QQ Music’s Weekly Digital Album Chart for 12 consecutive weeks.

The album’s lead single Flame of Dawn earned nominations for Best Digital Single, Best Music Video, and Best Female Solo Performance, while deep cuts like Midnight Whisper and Echo Chamber garnered recognition in categories for Best Lyricism and Best Arrangement.
The joint track Eyes Closed, released in September 2025, marked Malik’s first official entry into the Chinese music market and his first-ever nominations at the China Year End Awards. The single, which blends K-pop’s signature production style with R&B influences from Malik’s discography, debuted at No. 1 on QQ Music’s Daily Streaming Chart and held the position for nine days. It received nods in categories including Best Collaborative Performance, Best International Fusion Track, and Best Cross-Border Music Project.
Close behind Jisoo are fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie and four-piece girl group aespa, each with 12 nominations. Jennie’s sophomore solo EP Sacred Heart earned acclaim for its experimental sound, while aespa’s album Synchronicity solidified their status as leading figures in the fourth generation of K-pop.
Both artists received multiple nominations in group and solo categories, including Best Female Group, Best Dance Performance, and Best Album of the Year.
The 2025 awards also emphasize the balanced growth of China’s music industry, with local acts securing significant recognition alongside international talent. Mandopop singer-songwriter Li Ronghao earned 10 nominations for his album Wanderlust, while folk collective The Mountain Echoes received eight nods for their critically acclaimed work Roots and Wings.
Organizers note that K-pop’s strong showing reflects not only strategic marketing partnerships but also genuine audience demand, with K-pop content accounting for 28% of all international music streams on Chinese platforms in 2025 up from 22% in 2024.
“We are thrilled to see such diverse talent represented in this year’s nominations,” said Zhang Wei, executive director of the China Year End Awards committee. “The success of artists like Jisoo and the collaboration between Jisoo and Zayn Malik demonstrates how music can bridge cultural boundaries, while local acts continue to push creative boundaries and define the sound of modern Chinese music.”
Winners will be announced at a live ceremony in Shanghai on December 30, 2025, featuring performances from nominated artists. This year’s trophies have been redesigned as sleek, star-shaped sculptures crafted from recycled metal, symbolizing the industry’s commitment to both artistic excellence and sustainability.
The event will be broadcast live on QQ Music and streamed internationally on multiple digital platforms.
