January 1, 2026– While official footage or stills are yet to be released, anticipation for the first look at Song Kang and Lee Jun Young in their upcoming drama Four Hands has reached a fever pitch among K-drama fans worldwide, as details about the highly-anticipated bromance series continue to emerge.

Taking its name from the piano technique where two musicians play a single instrument a metaphor that underscores its core themes Four Hands tells the coming-of-age story of two piano prodigies who meet at an arts high school. Bound by talent, the pair develop a complex relationship as both close friends and rivals, navigating love, competition, and personal growth from their teenage years into adulthood.

The project first garnered attention in September 2025, when media reported that both actors had received offers to lead the series. For Song Kang, the drama would mark his highly awaited return to the screen after completing his mandatory 18-month military service on October 1, 2025. The actor, widely known as the “Netflix Prince” for his roles in global hits like Sweet Home, My Demon, and Nevertheless, is reportedly considering the role of a gifted, emotionally layered piano prodigy.
Lee Jun Young, the multi-talented idol-actor known for his performances in Weak Hero Class 2, Mask Girl, and Pump Up the Healthy Love, has also been offered the role of a genius-level pianist who forms the show’s central relationship with Song Kang’s character. Both actors’ agencies have confirmed they are reviewing the offers, with no final casting decisions announced as of press time.

Adding to the excitement, reports emerged in November 2025 that former fromis_9 member and actress Jang Gyu Ri is being considered for the female lead role of Jae In, a character who grows up alongside the two leads from their school days into adulthood. If confirmed, the series is expected to air as a tvn weekend drama in 2026, with a total of 12 episodes.
Though fans are eager for their first glimpse of Song Kang and Lee Jun Young together on set or in official promotional materials, the promise of their on-screen chemistry has already sparked widespread discussion. Many viewers had hoped the series might fall into the boys’ love (BL) genre, but it has been officially billed as a bromance, leaving audiences curious to see how the story will explore the deep bond between the two main characters.
With production preparations underway, industry observers and fans alike are keeping a close watch for any updates and especially the first official look at the pair that will bring the story of Four Hands to life.
