CORTIS’s ‘Deja Vu’ Dance Cover Captivates Fans With Artistic Flair And Playful Chemistry

HYBE and Big Hit Music’s rookie boy band CORTIS has once again taken the K-pop world by storm with their dance cover of TXT’s 2024 hit Deja Vu. Released early Friday on their official YouTube channel, the synchronized practice video has quickly become a fan favorite, earning more than 13,000 likes and sparking enthusiastic conversation across social media platforms.

The five-member group Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho debuted in August 2025 with their EP COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, which broke multiple records including the highest first-day sales for any K-pop act debuting that year, with 250,000 copies sold on release day. As the first boy group to debut under Big Hit Music in six years, they have already built a dedicated global fanbase known as Coer, thanks to their creative autonomy and collaborative approach to artistry.

For their Deja Vu cover, the group dressed in ethereal white outfits that contrasted beautifully with the stark practice studio setting, highlighting every detail of their choreography. What made the performance stand out was their unique reinterpretation of the original dance: they added intimate lifts and subtle touches between members that brought a new layer of emotional storytelling to the track. Fans were quick to react, with many playfully describing the routine as having “morning vibes” and praising it as “yaoi perfection” terms referencing the playful, affectionate chemistry visible in their movements.

This cover is the latest in a series of successful collaborations and performances between CORTIS and labelmates TXT. Just weeks earlier, the group joined TXT’s leader Soobin for a TikTok dance relay, and they performed a special mash-up set during New Year’s Eve celebrations. These interactions have earned them praise from both their own fans and MOA, TXT’s official fandom, who have commended the rookies for their technical skill and respectful, creative reimagining of beloved tracks.

The response to the cover also underscores CORTIS’s rapid rise in the industry. In late December 2025, they performed to a packed crowd at the SBS Gayo Daejeon, with monthly Spotify listeners nearing 8 million and Instagram followers surpassing 8 million. Their success is even more notable given their hands-on role in creating their art: member James, who previously contributed to the songwriting and choreography of the original Deja Vu as well as hits like ILLIT’s Magnetic, brought unique insight to the cover’s arrangement.

As they prepare to headline the NBA Crossover Concert Series in Los Angeles this February the first K-pop act to do so CORTIS continues to prove they are more than just a rookie group. Their Deja Vu cover is a perfect example of their ability to honor the work of their labelmates while adding their own distinct artistic identity, cementing their status as one of K-pop’s most exciting new acts.
