K-pop legends EXO have officially launched the promotional cycle for their eighth full-length album REVERXE, set for release on January 19 at 6 p.m. KST, with the reveal of the first set of teaser images titled “Cube 01″. The release marks a highly anticipated milestone: their first full-group project featuring members Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay since 2019’s Obsession, ending a years-long hiatus brought on by mandatory military service obligations and individual solo careers.
The Cube 01 teasers have already ignited excitement across global fandoms, thanks to a thoughtful visual callback to the group’s iconic 2012 debut era. For their breakthrough MAMA promotions, EXO was split into two subunits with distinct color schemes; the new photos flip this concept, with Korean-based members dressed in dramatic black outfits while Lay appears in white, creating a striking monochromatic contrast that fans have praised as a clever nod to the group’s history while signaling a new creative era.

According to the official release schedule shared on EXO’s social media channels, the Cube teaser series will continue with Cube 02 on January 4 and Cube 03 on January 5, followed by a second “Reverse” teaser series from January 6 to 9. Album details including the full tracklist will be revealed on January 12, with music video teasers dropping on January 15, 16, and 18 ahead of the official launch.
Pre-orders for REVERXE are now available at major online and physical retailers worldwide. The album will feature nine tracks, building on the momentum generated by pre-release music: the group debuted the high-energy track “Back It Up” at the 2024 Melon Music Awards, where their showstopping performance featuring over 40 backup dancers drew widespread acclaim, and released the emotional single “I’m Home” in December 2025 during their “EXO’Verse” fan meeting at Inspire Arena.
To celebrate the comeback, EXO will host a showcase at Kyung Hee University’s Grand Peace Palace in Seoul at 7:30 p.m. KST on January 19, immediately after the album’s release. The event will include live premieres of new songs, behind-the-scenes stories from the album’s creation, and interactions with fans. Adding to the excitement, comedian and television host Park Myung-soo recently teased that the group will appear on his program the following week to share more details about their full-group reunion.
REVERXE arrives 2 years and 6 months after EXO’s seventh full album Exist, which became their seventh consecutive million-selling release. While members Chen, Xiumin, and Baekhyun will not participate in promotions due to ongoing contract disputes with their agency SM Entertainment, the return of Lay alongside the five Korean members has been hailed by fans as a long-awaited moment of unity. The album’s concept also references the group’s debut mythology, with earlier teasers echoing themes from their MAMA era, promising a project that honors their legacy while pushing their artistic boundaries forward.
