Blackpink’s Jennie has been named Spotify’s most-streamed K-pop soloist of 2025, with cumulative streams surpassing industry peers to cement her position as a global force in music. Official figures from the platform confirm she outpaced fellow Blackpink member Rosé (2.79 billion streams) and BTS’ Jungkook (2.23 billion), who retained his title as the top male K-pop soloist despite not releasing new music since his 2023 album Golden.

The annual ranking, compiled from streams across 184 markets worldwide, reveals a tight concentration of success among members of the genre’s two biggest groups. BTS’ Jimin follows with 1.92 billion streams, Jin at 1.71 billion, and Blackpink’s Lisa rounding out the top six with 1.58 billion. Industry analysts attribute the dominance to both sustained fan engagement and strategic playlist placement across Spotify’s global and regional curations.
“Jennie’s appeal cuts across language and cultural barriers – her catalog balances experimental production with accessible hooks that resonate everywhere from Seoul to São Paulo,” notes a music journalist who has covered K-pop for over a decade. “What’s striking is how her streams have grown consistently, even without a major 2025 release; her 2024 single You & Me remained in Spotify’s Global Top 200 for 327 days, while older tracks like Solo saw a 42% uptick in streams last year, driven by viral TikTok challenges and sync deals with fashion brands.”
Jungkook’s performance is equally noteworthy: Golden tracks including Seven – which charted for a record 813 days on Spotify’s Global Top 200 – continued to drive engagement, with streams spiking 18% in Q4 2025 after he headlined the closing ceremony of the 2025 Asian Games in Hangzhou. His absence from new releases did little to slow momentum, as dedicated fan communities organized streaming campaigns and curated playlists to maintain his visibility.
Spotify’s Southeast Asia head of music programming, Ravi Kumar, shared with our team: “K-pop soloists now account for 12% of all streams in the region, up from 8% in 2024. Jennie’s consistent placement at #146 in the platform’s global artist ranking – the highest for any K-pop soloist – reflects how the genre is moving beyond niche fandom to mainstream cultural relevance.”
Local fans have already begun celebrating the milestone, with fan clubs organizing a public listening party at Abreeza Mall this weekend, featuring a showcase of Jennie’s music videos and a charity drive for youth music education programs.
