ALPHA DRIVE ONE has claimed their first music show trophy only nine days after debut, marking a fast-rising start for the group formed through Mnet’s survival program Boys II Planet.
The eight-member group debuted with their mini-album “EUPHORIA” on January 12. Their title track “FREAK ALARM” earned first place on Show Champion’s January 21 broadcast, pre-recorded at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan. The swift victory places ALPHA DRIVE ONE among the rare rookie acts to secure a music show win within their first two weeks.
During the acceptance speech, leader Leo expressed gratitude to the group’s fanbase ALLYZ, acknowledging their strong streaming and voting efforts. Several members took time to thank their agency staff and families, reflecting the emotional impact of the early milestone.
The encore stage drew attention for the group’s stable live vocals and tightly synchronized choreography, reinforcing their reputation as performance-focused rookies. Fans also voiced concern for member Sangwon, who appeared visibly exhausted during the encore, though fellow members were seen encouraging and supporting him throughout the stage.
Industry analysts point to ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s rapid success as evidence of the growing power of survival-show-born fandoms, where pre-debut exposure translates quickly into organized fan support.
Following the win, the group is expected to continue promotions through early February, with additional content releases and variety show appearances already scheduled. Their agency has hinted at upcoming fan engagement events, signaling a strategic push to maintain momentum after the early breakthrough.
