SM Entertainment has confirmed that it has begun legal proceedings against a number of social media users accused of posting malicious and defamatory content targeting its artists, including aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH. The agency stated that the action is part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard its artists’ rights, mental well-being, and professional reputations.

According to SM Entertainment, the reported posts include false information, personal attacks, harassment, and content that could be considered defamatory under applicable laws. The company emphasized that it collected evidence through continuous monitoring and fan reports before proceeding with formal legal steps.
An SM Entertainment representative reiterated that the company maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harmful online behavior, adding that legal responses are not limited to warnings but may include criminal complaints and civil lawsuits when necessary. The agency also confirmed that no settlements or leniency will be granted to those found responsible.

This move reflects a broader industry trend in which entertainment companies are increasingly addressing online abuse through legal channels. SM Entertainment encouraged fans to continue submitting reports through official channels and reaffirmed its commitment to long-term protection measures.
The agency concluded by stating that it will continue to take decisive action to ensure a safe and respectful environment for its artists.
