BTS is officially staging its return as a complete group with a series of high‑profile performances and worldwide events that underscore the band’s enduring cultural impact.
According to BigHit Music, BTS will hold a special comeback concert titled “BTS: The Comeback Live ARIRANG” on March 21 at Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Square to celebrate the release of their upcoming fifth studio album Arirang. In a first for the historic public space, the concert will be live‑streamed globally via Netflix to audiences in more than 190 countries, marking a major expansion in how Korean pop music engages international fans.

BigHit Music described the new album as deeply rooted in BTS’s artistic identity, with Arirang symbolizing both the group’s origins and its evolving creative expression. The choice of Gwanghwamun — a landmark site in the heart of Seoul reflects the band’s intention to merge contemporary performance with national heritage, an approach officials indicate was supported by Seoul city authorities and cultural agencies given BTS’s global stature.
In addition to the live event, Netflix will release a documentary titled BTS: The Return on March 27, offering fans an intimate look at the band’s recording and creative process over the past months. This documentary follows a trend of streaming services investing in large‑scale music events and artist‑centered storytelling content.

BTS’s post‑comeback schedule also includes commencement of their world tour starting April 9 at Goyang Sports Complex in Korea, followed by performances across 34 cities in Japan, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Early ticket sales data suggests exceptionally strong demand, with several tour stops selling out during pre‑sale phases.
Industry analysts say this coordinated return combining live performance, film, and streaming distribution solidifies BTS’s role as one of the most influential music acts on the global stage, capable of shaping how pop acts navigate digital and hybrid audience engagement.
