YH Entertainment has officially announced that it and singer Ji Yunseo have mutually agreed to part ways, thus terminating the singer’s exclusive contract. The decision follows the discussions that took place after Ji Yunseo left the boy band EVNNE in late 2025 and subsequently rejoined the same agency.
In their announcement, YH Entertainment referred to the separation as friendly, however, they neither revealed the reasons for the decision nor gave any hints as to the next steps of Yunseo’s career. It is worth noting that since his rejoining, no music or other artistic ventures of the 21 years old star have been made public.
The revelation of this event stirred a variety of emotions among the fan base; a significant portion of the fans was visibly upset and disappointed over the sudden change. On the other side, some fans took the time to write supportive words and thus gave Yunseo their backing for his life and work choices.
The Internet chatter even saw some among the fans making an appeal for the singer to be granted more chances to work in the music and performing industries in the future.
According to entertainment critics, this case clearly highlights the delicateness and changeability of contracts as well as career planning in the Kpop world where both artists and management agencies often reevaluate their long, term plans. It is not yet known what Ji Yunseo is going to do in the nearest future, but the critics believe that situations like these could result in the artists exploring new creative avenues.
YH Entertainment expressed that it understands Ji Yunseo’s decision and similarly wished him all the best in whatever he decides to pursue.
