BLACKPINK member Jisoo’s agency, BLISSOO, has issued a firm official statement distancing the artist from the ongoing controversy surrounding her older brother.
On April 20, 2026, lawyer Eun Hyun-ho from Kim & Chang Law Firm, representing BLISSOO, released a detailed statement addressing recent media reports and online speculation. The statement clarifies that Jisoo has had no contact or involvement with her family’s private matters for many years, as she became independent at a young age after starting her trainee life.
The lawyer emphasized that while Jisoo provided limited communication support during the early establishment of her agency BLISSOO, no family members have received any financial compensation or participated in decision-making. The agency operates completely independently.
“We are not providing any financial or legal support to the individual in question, nor do we plan to,” the statement read. It further warned that spreading false information linking Jisoo or BLISSOO to the scandal constitutes defamation and rights infringement, promising strict legal action without leniency or settlement.
The controversy stems from reports that Jisoo’s older brother is under police investigation for allegedly molesting a female internet broadcaster. The strong denial aims to protect Jisoo’s image amid the sensitive allegations.
This marks one of the clearest statements from Jisoo’s side since the scandal surfaced. Fans have shown support for the idol, expressing hope that the matter will not affect her upcoming acting and solo projects.
BLISSOO continues to manage Jisoo’s career, which includes her successful transition into acting with projects like the Netflix series Monthly Boyfriend.
