In the latest Interview of Billboard, ENHYPEN have opened up about navigating life as a six-member group while keeping their focus squarely on fans and fresh creative directions.
Heeseung officially left ENHYPEN in March 2026 to pursue a solo career under the new moniker EVAN, a move BELIFT LAB described as the “most fulfilling approach” for both the artist and the group after extensive discussions about individual visions. The decision followed Heeseung sharing original material he had been developing, ultimately choosing to step away to fully dedicate himself to his personal artistic path.
Speaking with Billboard, leader Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki emphasized unity and hard work as they adjust to the shift. “These days, we’ve been busy preparing for our tour,” Jungwon shared, referring to the ongoing Blood Saga trek that launched on May 1. The members noted they’ve been practicing intensively, sharing meals, and bonding as they prepare to deliver high-caliber performances.
Jake highlighted the group’s fan-first mentality: “Our ENGENEs, that’s what we try to focus on putting on the best performance for our fans.” Sunghoon echoed the sentiment, urging fans to “make even more memories together.”
The group continues riding momentum from their January mini-album The Sin: Vanish, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. While acknowledging that Heeseung’s absence brings changes, Jake struck an optimistic note about upcoming music. “There’s been changes, but there’s also been very good changes as well,” he said. “Our next project is crazy, it’s another level… 2026 is going to be a very big year for us.”

Industry observers see ENHYPEN’s approach as a mature handling of a common K-pop challenge: balancing group dynamics with individual ambitions. With their current tour in full swing and new material reportedly in advanced stages, the six-member lineup appears determined to evolve while honoring their established sound and deep connection with fans.
As global K-pop acts increasingly explore solo ventures alongside group activities, ENHYPEN’s transparency may serve as a model for thoughtful transitions that prioritize long-term artistry. Fans can expect more details on new music in the coming months as the group pushes forward into what they promise will be an exciting era.
