NewJeans “New Jeans” surpasses 500 million Spotify streams
NewJeans just hit another huge milestone their track “New Jeans” racked up over 500 million streams on Spotify. Even with all the drama swirling around the K-pop industry lately, the group’s digital pull isn’t fading.

This song, one of their earlier releases, stands out with its bouncy, house-inspired vibe and a music video that plays with a Powerpuff Girls animation theme. Now, with over half a billion streams, it’s the sixth NewJeans track to hit that mark. Altogether, their songs have been streamed more than 7.3 billion times on Spotify.

ADOR, their label, celebrated with pink bunny visuals classic NewJeans style. But the milestone set off mixed reactions among fans. Old arguments flared up, mostly linked to corporate battles that have followed the group since 2024. Some fans showed their pride, sharing edits of the original five Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. Hashtags about sticking together and supporting the group spread fast. But there’s still a sense of worry in the air, especially with legal and contract issues between ADOR and HYBE lingering in the background.
Still, NewJeans isn’t losing steam. They pull in over 13 million monthly listeners on Spotify, keeping them near the top among K-pop acts globally.
People who follow the industry think this milestone says a lot about NewJeans’ staying power. Their stripped-back pop sound and youth-driven branding keep pulling in fans, and they’ve helped shape what fourth-gen K-pop looks like. With business negotiations and legal stuff still unfolding, it’s clear that NewJeans’ fans aren’t going anywhere and neither is their music.
