AHOF JL Opens Up About Challenges Behind Emotional “My Whole World” Cover
JL from AHOF recently opened up about what went into recording the Haneulz cover of “My Whole World” and honestly, it’s a lot more than most people realize. He and Park Han pulled off the whole thing in just one day, right in the middle of a seriously packed schedule. There wasn’t much time to prep, but they went for it anyway.

For JL, things got even tougher. He was fighting off a cold the whole time, trying to nail every note. Plus, as a Filipino singer working in Korean, he felt extra pressure to get the pronunciation right and really capture the emotion of the song. That’s no small feat when you’re already feeling under the weather.
He didn’t let any of that stop him, though. JL said he spent some late nights practicing, just running through the song over and over before it was time to record. All that effort paid off. He walked into the studio feeling a lot more confident, ready to make sure that what fans heard was honest and true to the original.
And fans noticed. People flooded him with support, raving about how clear and emotional his vocals sounded. Lots of them talked about how much he’s grown not just as a singer, but in his Korean, too. JL said those messages hit him pretty hard. Some almost made him cry. It was a reminder of how far he’s come since making the leap to Korea and starting over in a whole new culture.
Clips of the cover spread fast on social media, racking up thousands of likes and comments from fans all over the world. The whole thing really shows what kind of determination it takes not just to be an artist, but to keep pushing through language barriers and everything else that comes with chasing a dream on the K-pop stage.
