According to his agency, Topspot Pictures, the album titled “Another Dimension” was entirely conceived, produced, and directed by the 38-year-old artist himself. “He spent a long time perfecting the album, so listeners will be able to see his deeper thoughts on music,” the label said in a statement Thursday.

T.O.P first burst onto the scene in 2006 as Big Bang’s charismatic rapper, captivating fans worldwide with his distinctive deep voice and commanding stage presence. The quartet became one of K-pop’s most influential acts, but his time with the group ended in 2023 when he chose to step away, citing guilt over how his past troubles affected his bandmates.

That chapter stemmed from a 2016 conviction for marijuana use, which resulted in a 10-month jail term suspended for two years. After keeping a low profile for years, T.O.P reinvented himself as an actor, earning attention for his portrayal of the mysterious Thanos in Netflix’s global phenomenon “Squid Game” across its second and third seasons.

Industry insiders view the upcoming release as more than a comeback — it represents T.O.P’s personal evolution and artistic independence. Fans, known as VIPs, have already flooded social media with excitement, many calling it a “new dimension” in his story of resilience.

Topspot Pictures confirmed no further details on tracklist or concept have been revealed yet, but anticipation is building ahead of the April 3 drop. As Big Bang members continue carving individual paths, T.O.P’s solo debut adds another compelling chapter to the group’s enduring legacy.
