UNIS’ ‘Spring Rain’ Surges to No. 7 on South Korea YouTube Chart in Surprise Spring Revival

Nearly 11 months after its quiet release, UNIS’s B-side track “Spring Rain” has suddenly climbed to No. 7 on YouTube’s Daily Top Music Videos chart in South Korea, breathing fresh life into the group’s 2024 mini-album SWICY just as cherry blossoms begin to bloom.

The eight-member act, formed through the 2023 JTBC survival show Universe Ticket, dropped the track last April alongside the mini-album. A special performance video released in August 2025 — featuring the members dancing gracefully through lush green meadows and gentle rain — had been gaining steady views, but the latest surge caught everyone off guard. On March 20, 2026, the clip officially entered the national chart, marking an organic comeback moment many fans are calling “perfect spring magic.”

UNIS fans flooded social media with celebration, sharing screenshots of the ranking and praising the song’s light, refreshing melody that perfectly matches Seoul’s current weather. “This is the best surprise as sakura season starts,” one popular fan account posted. The leader of the group appeared visibly shocked and delighted in a recent live, unable to hide her smile while reacting to the unexpected chart news.

The belated success highlights the staying power of well-crafted B-sides in K-pop. Unlike flashy title tracks that often fade quickly, “Spring Rain” has found its audience through word-of-mouth and seasonal timing, proving that heartfelt concepts can still break through long after release.

UNIS has stayed active with fan meetings and variety appearances since their debut, but this chart milestone arrives at a sweet time — right before many groups ramp up summer promotions. Agency officials have not yet commented officially, but sources close to the group say the members are “deeply touched and motivated” by the love still pouring in.
For a rookie act born from a survival show, the moment feels especially meaningful.

As spring settles over South Korea, “Spring Rain” is reminding fans why UNIS captured hearts in the first place — with music that feels as natural and refreshing as the season itself.
