SEVENTEEN has officially renewed contracts with Pledis Entertainment, with all 13 members committing to continue their journey together as one group.
The heartfelt announcement came during a live fan event when leader Choi Seungcheol (S.Coups) shared the news directly with CARATs. The renewal marks the group’s second collective contract extension since their early renewal in 2021 — an unusually proactive move in the K-pop industry, where most acts wait until closer to the end of their initial seven-year terms.
Debuting in 2015, SEVENTEEN has built one of the strongest and most loyal fandoms in K-pop through their self-producing system, tight-knit brotherhood, and record-breaking tours. The timing of this latest renewal, revealed just ahead of their 10th anniversary fan meeting scheduled for later this year in Incheon, carries special meaning as the group enters its second decade.
Fans reacted with an outpouring of emotion online and during the live broadcast, filling comment sections with tears, cheers, and messages of unwavering support. Many described the news as a “relief” and a promise of more music, world tours, and shared milestones ahead.
“Knowing all 13 of us will stay together means everything,” Seungcheol told fans, his voice thick with emotion. The members have long emphasized that they want to grow and evolve as SEVENTEEN, not as individuals, a sentiment that clearly guided their decision.
Pledis Entertainment has not released a separate official statement, allowing the members’ live words to carry the message. Industry observers view the early renewal as a powerful sign of stability and mutual trust between the artists and their agency at a time when many senior groups face uncertainty.
For CARATs, the announcement feels like a long-term promise: more music, more stages, and more years of the beloved 13-member bond that has defined SEVENTEEN since day one.
