Kuk Dong-ho, who appeared on the latest season, is now formally pushing back against school violence claims that surfaced online last month.
On June 1, Kuk’s agency, Mood Entertainment, released a statement through its legal representative from Law Firm Phil, announcing that criminal complaints have been filed. The complaints target the spread of false information under the Information and Communications Network Act, as well as charges of defamation and attempted coercion. According to the agency, unverified allegations and baseless claims have spread rapidly across online communities, causing significant harm to the cast member.
The controversy began on May 4 when a person identifying as a practicing lawyer, referred to as “A,” posted on social media claiming to have been bullied during school years. A alleged that Kuk Dong-ho had either participated in or condoned the harassment.

Kuk’s side has consistently and strongly denied any involvement, stating that the claims have “no basis in fact” and that he had no connection to the incidents described.
An internal investigation by the agency reportedly confirmed no evidence of violent behavior or abuse of power during Kuk’s school days. The legal team emphasized that they will cooperate fully with authorities to clarify the facts through proper investigative procedures.
In their statement, Kuk’s representatives urged the public to refrain from further speculation, secondary victimization, or sharing of unconfirmed personal details. While acknowledging the importance of freedom of expression, they stressed that it does not extend to spreading harmful falsehoods that damage someone’s reputation and dignity.
As of now, the accuser’s social media account has been set to private. The case highlights the growing tension between public accountability and the protection of individuals from potentially damaging online allegations in the era of reality television fame.
Kuk Dong-ho’s team says they remain confident that the truth will emerge through due legal process.
