SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – January 5, 2026 – Global supergroup BTS has officially kicked off promotions for their first full-group album since 2022, with a striking public art installation unveiled on the steps of Seoul’s iconic Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. The announcement, confirmed by label BigHit Music on January 1, 2026, confirms the album will release worldwide on March 20, marking the group’s complete return following the discharge of the last member from mandatory military service in December 2025.

The Sejong Center display, visible 24 hours a day, features a large-scale design centered around three illuminated circles, which fans quickly decoded as referencing the Korean word hae, meaning sun. Paired with warm, sunset-inspired lighting that shifts in tone throughout the day and night, the installation has sparked widespread speculation about a solar or celestial theme for the upcoming record. This visual teaser joins a growing list of clues the group has shared in recent weeks, including exclusive footage projected on the Empire State Building in New York City in late December 2025, which drew crowds of thousands and trended globally on social media.
BigHit Music noted in its official statement that the comeback represents a new chapter for BTS, as the seven members reunite after pursuing individual projects and fulfilling their national service obligations. “This album is the result of years of growth, both as artists and individuals,” the label said. “The members have poured their experiences over the past three years into every aspect of this project, and they can’t wait to share this new era with fans around the world.”

In addition to the physical installation, the group has launched an official countdown website that features cryptic visuals and a timer counting down to the album’s release. Fans, known as ARMY, have already begun analyzing every detail, creating online forums to share theories and interpretations of the teasers. The comeback is already one of the most highly anticipated music events of 2026, with industry analysts predicting the album could break global streaming and sales records, building on BTS’ legacy as one of the best-selling music acts of all time.
With all members now back together, BTS is expected to announce additional promotional activities, including live performances and fan events, in the weeks leading up to the album launch. The Sejong Center installation will remain on display until February 20, serving as a landmark for both local fans and international visitors traveling to Seoul to celebrate the group’s return.
