The handle @mnijungkook, which boasts more than 21 million followers, began showing “user not found” errors, leaving the global ARMY community concerned and frustrated.
According to multiple reports and fan tracking accounts, the disappearance appears to stem from an ongoing issue with Meta’s automated moderation systems. Earlier in the day, similar verified accounts belonging to other K-pop stars including TXT’s Yeonjun, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, and NCT’s Haechan and Mark were also temporarily disabled before being restored.
Social media monitoring showed BTS Charts News highlighting how Meta’s AI tools have been mistakenly flagging and removing legitimate celebrity and business profiles. Jungkook’s TikTok presence has reportedly experienced related glitches, adding to the confusion.
As of now, neither Meta nor HYBE (Big Hit Music) has issued an official statement. However, fans have flooded Instagram and Meta’s support channels demanding a swift resolution. In past incidents, affected high-profile accounts were reinstated within hours following manual reviews.
