SM Entertainment has drawn a firm line against escalating invasions of privacy targeting its rising pre-debut boy trainee project SMTR25, announcing it will pursue legal measures if disruptive behavior does not stop immediately.
In an official statement issued Wednesday, the agency detailed repeated incidents that have severely affected the young trainees, who have yet to make their official debut.

The agency’s full English statement:
” Hello, this is SM Entertainment.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all fans who continue to show deep support and affection for SMTR25.
We are issuing this statement to address a series of ongoing incidents involving serious invasions of SMTR25 members’ privacy.
Recently, there have been repeated instances of inappropriate and invasive behavior, including unauthorized entry into the artists’ residence, excessive physical contact, and forcibly boarding taxis with the members. These actions have caused severe distress to the members.
In addition, there have been incidents of individuals shouting trainees’ names loudly within the building, creating noise disturbances, improperly disposing of trash, and trespassing into restricted areas. These actions have not only affected our trainees but have also caused considerable inconvenience and harm to residents who share the same space.
These behaviors are instilling anxiety in trainees who have not yet officially debuted, disrupting their daily lives, and creating serious discomfort for nearby residents. We strongly urge that all such actions that infringe upon the artists’ privacy be immediately ceased.
While the company has already taken measures such as issuing verbal warnings and deploying security personnel, the situation has not improved and has now reached a critical point.
If these actions do not cease immediately, we will take firm legal action without leniency to protect the safety, privacy, and well-being of our trainees and residents, as well as to prevent any potential criminal incidents. We urge individuals to refrain from engaging in any behavior that may result in legal consequences.
SM Entertainment will continue to do its utmost to protect our trainees and artists.
Thank you.”
Reports include fans or individuals entering the artists’ residence without permission, engaging in excessive physical contact, and even forcing their way into taxis alongside the members. Additional complaints involve loud shouting of trainees’ names within the building, creating noise disturbances, improper disposal of trash, and unauthorized access to restricted areas.
“These actions have caused severe distress to the members,” the company stated, adding that the behavior has also created anxiety among the trainees and inconvenience for other residents sharing the same living space. SMTR25, introduced through an official trailer, social media channels, and variety show appearances earlier this year, represents SM’s next-generation boy group project, with a full debut anticipated in 2026.
The agency revealed it has already responded with verbal warnings and enhanced security presence, yet the problems persist. “The situation has now reached a critical point,” the statement continued. “If these actions do not cease immediately, we will take firm legal action without leniency to protect the safety, privacy, and well-being of our trainees and residents, as well as to prevent any potential criminal incidents.”
SM Entertainment expressed gratitude to fans showing genuine support while emphasizing that respecting personal boundaries is essential. Industry observers note this latest warning fits a pattern for the company, which has previously pursued legal complaints against online defamation and stalking targeting other artists, including aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH.
As SMTR25 prepares for upcoming activities, including a planned fan meeting tour, the agency stressed its commitment to creating a safe environment for its artists-in-training. No specific individuals have been named in the statement, but SM indicated it stands ready to act decisively if violations continue.
