TWS Announces Second Japanese EP ‘Soda Soda’ Set for August 4 Release

Rising K-pop sensation TWS is expanding its international footprint with the upcoming release of its second Japanese EP, Soda Soda, scheduled to drop on August 4. According to the group’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, the new project will include three tracks, highlighted by a brand-new Japanese original song.

This marks a swift follow-up to TWS’s Japanese debut single “Nice to See You Again,” which launched in July 2025 and quickly climbed to the top of both Oricon and Billboard Japan weekly charts. The single later achieved platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan after surpassing 250,000 accumulated sales.

The six-member group  consisting of Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin  has built impressive momentum since their 2024 debut with Sparkling Blue. Their Korean releases, including “Plot Twist,” “If I’m S, Can You Be My N?,” and “Countdown!,” have earned them a loyal fanbase known as “TYFU.” In March, TWS took home the New Artist of the Year (Asia) award at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards, underscoring their growing influence in the Japanese market.

Beyond the new EP, the band is preparing for a busy summer. They will kick off their 15-city “24/7:FOR:YOU” tour on June 27 at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, followed by stops in Japan including Fukuoka, Hyogo, and Kanagawa starting August 28. Fans can also catch them at the prestigious Summer Sonic festival from August 14 to 16.

Industry observers note that TWS’s strategic timing and consistent output reflect a deliberate push into the competitive Japanese market, where K-pop acts continue to thrive.

With strong chart performance and certification milestones already under their belt, the group appears well-positioned for further success.

As anticipation builds for Soda Soda, TYFU members are eagerly awaiting what fresh sounds the boys will bring to their Japanese-language repertoire. The release is expected to further solidify TWS’s status as one of the most promising fourth-generation K-pop acts on the global stage.
